2025 ins and outs

It's a brand new year. Yay! Here is my list of things I need to let go while also making the list of things I need to bring back. I find a lot of peace in doing this routine every year. There is less pressure than a resolution. Also, know that most of these are personal to me, and I am not attempting to influence you into living a life that doesn't seem fit for you.

Let's also notice that there are significantly more "Ins" than "Outs". Because I want to incorporate more things into my life rather than deteriorate the one I am already living! Cheers.
INS:
  • Real, quality time with yourself -- not being on social media or being on your phone, but working on hobbies or finding something that interests you
  • Shoes besides sneakers
  • Colorful, patterned tights (of course)
  • Going places to be lost
  • Not knowing every word to songs you like
  • Phone calls
    • Consequentially, handwritten letters
  • Physical media: books, magazines, CDs, etc.
  • Being in the loop with local social events
  • Being OK with uncomfortableness
  • Quality over quantity
  • Parallel play with your friends
  • Small day trips
  • Shameless outfit repeating
  • Museums?
  • Reading articles
  • Having a packing list
OUTS:
  • Sleeping in -- I mean to say sleeping the entire day away
  • Saying yes to things you don't want to do (I guess this goes with a lot of things)
  • Dishwasher packets
  • Saying you've done something when you haven't
  • Over excessive runs in tights; I think this had a time and place
  • Being afraid of talking in a group
  • Dual screen theory (put the phone down)
  • Feeling pressured to buy something when you're in a store
  • Hyperfixating on one thing/person
And with that, we are just about a week into the new year. I hope 2025 is a magical year for everyone. Until next time!
